Welcome to PSG@ Hougang Secondary!

We look forward to a brand new year of embarking on this journey with you, parents of HS students who are keen to take an active role in shaping the crucial teenage years of our children.

Your involvement in school-home partnership by being a member of the PSG in HS benefits your child, you as a parent and the school.

Objectives of HS PSG:

To be supportive partners in your child’s education journey in HS
To assist and promote school spirit
To act as a bridge between school and parents

How HS PSG supports Hougang Secondary and Benefits of a HS PSG Member:

PSG members have the opportunity to volunteer in school programmes and initiatives in a structured and meaningful way, contributing to a vibrant school community.
The PSG provides a platform for parents to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. Members come from diverse backgrounds and bring valuable skills, fostering a supportive community that benefits both students and the school.
The PSG serves as a bridge between parents and the school, offering a constructive platform to share feedback on school policies and initiatives, promoting collaboration for the benefit of all.

PSG members are welcome to volunteer based on their availability, interests, and strengths. Opportunities to contribute include:

Act as a bridge between parents and the school by providing constructive feedback to support policy improvements and school initiatives.
Attend and assist in school functions, fostering a srong school-home partnership.
Actively support and promote the school’s vision, values, and direction.
Engage in discussions and contribute ideas, skills, and talents (e.g., arts & craft) to enrich PSG initiatives.
Provide suggestions on how to enhance parental engagement in school activities.
Help grow the PSG community by encouraging other parents to join.
Share professional or personal knowledge to improve PSG initiatives and processes.
