ICT Goals
1. Students to develop competencies for self-directed and collaborative learning through the effective use of ICT as well as become discerning and responsible ICT users.

Use of Computer Lab
Rules
- Students can only enter the Computer Lab under the supervision of a teacher.
- Leave all bags in front or at the side of the room.
- Sit according to register numbers as instructed by the teacher.
- Check all equipment (computer, printer, keyboard, mouse and other peripherals) and inform the teacher immediately if there is any problem.
- Collect, check and distribute group equipment (e.g. headset) and report any irregularities.
- Do not eat, drink or litter in the room.
- Do not use personal storage devices in the room.
- Do not switch on the computer unless instructed by the teacher.
- Do not delete or reconfigure data in the hard disk.
- Shut down the computer in a proper way and arrange the equipment in its original position at the end of each lesson.
- Keep all electronic devices in the bag.
Abuse and misuse that may result in school punishment
- Prying into another user’s area or files.
- Developing or activating programs that harass other users.
- Attempting to learn or use other user’s password.
- Sharing your own or other user’s password.
- Attempting to hack into restricted systems or attempting to use administrative commands.
- Attempting to harm or destroy any hardware, software or data residing on the school network or any other computer system attached to the internet.
- Uploading or creating computer viruses.
- Contaminating, deleting or reconfiguring data.
- Blogging messages that are offensive or abusive.
Advice on the use of computers
- Be polite. Use appropriate language. Do not be abusive in your messages to others. Hate mail, harassment, discriminatory remarks and other anti-social behaviours are prohibited.
- Do not reveal your full name, telephone number or home address or those of other students when using the Internet.
- Keep your personal login and account password private and log off the network after use.
- Do not use computers or the network in such a way that would disrupt the use of the systems by other people.
- Do not transmit or knowingly receive any materials (copyrighted, pornographic or obscene) in violation of the law or school regulation.

8.30 am to 5.30 pm (Monday to Thursday)
8.30am to 5pm (Friday)

1.00 pm to 1.30 pm
Library Rules
- Bags must be left outside the library in the cupboards provided.
- Students who make noise or cause disturbance will be evicted.
- No eating or drinking is allowed in the library.
- Students must take good care of library books and materials.
- Students can borrow up to 4 books for a duration of two weeks.
- Any loss of books must be replaced.
- Do not allow others to use your identification number to borrow items from the Library.
- Students must obey the Staff and Librarians on duty.
Borrow and Return Library Book
- Bring book to the Circulation Counter.
- Produce your EZ-Link card.
- Open the book to the page with barcode label.
- Take note of the due date.
- Return book(s) to book-drop or Circulation Counter.
- You may renew the book if you have not finished reading (but remember to bring it with you)
Use of devices (Computers/kindles/ipads) in the Library
- Approach the Librarian to register first.
- Wait for your turn if the devices are in use.
- Fill in your particulars and sign in before you use the device.
- Check that the device is in proper working condition before & after use.
- You may use the device for 30 minutes per session.
- Do not bring in personal software.
- Do not share computer passwords.
- Do not download unwholesome materials from the Internet.
- Do not play computer games or engage in idle chatting on the Internet.
- Do not meddle with the device settings.
- Ask the Librarian for assistance when in doubt.
- Report any faults detected to the Librarian on duty immediately
