Financial Assistance


Singapore Citizens or PR in financial need can get assistance from MOE or other Organisations on school fees and other expenses. This applies to government, government-aided, specialised and some independent schools. Learn if your child is eligible here. In addition, the assistance scheme below are available through our school.

CDAC-SFCCA Bursary 2020

The CDAC-SFCCA bursary 2020 is now open for application. Closing date of application is 31 Aug 2019.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

a)    Student or one of the parents must be a Chinese Singaporean or PR;

b)    Gross monthly household income (before CPF) less than or equal to $2,400, or per capita income less than or equal $800;

c)     Student with good conduct and attendance;

d)    Family is not benefitting from Home Ownership Plus Education Scheme;

e)    Student is not receiving any scholarship/bursary from other organisations, except MOE FAS or Edusave Award;

f)      Student is not receiving The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund in 2019.

Successful applicants will receive a bursary of $450.

SKMC Bursary 2020

The Sengkang Methodist Church (SKMC) Bursary 2020 will open for application from 26 Aug 2019. Closing date of application is 20 Sept 2019 at 3pm.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

a)    Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident;

b)    Applicant must be studying in either a government or government-aided Primary School, Secondary School, Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Junior College (JC), or Polytechnic for academic year 2020;

c)     Applicant’s family Per Capital Income (PCI) must not exceed $750 per person;

d)    Applicant must not be receiving any other scholarship or bursary for the academic year of 2020.

Successful secondary school applicant will receive a bursary of $400. Successful applicants are required to attend a presentation ceremony on 23 Nov 2019.

The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF) 2020

The STSPMF 2020 is now open for application. Closing date of application is 31 Aug 2019.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

a)    Student is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR);

b)    Family is living in a 4-room HDB flat or smaller;

c)     Family has a gross per capita income (PCI) of $625/ month or less;

d)    Student is receiving full-time formal education in a mainstream secondary school and will be continuing education in the same school in 2020;

e)    Is not concurrently receiving school pocket money fund from another STSPMF disbursing agency;

f)      Is not concurrently receiving other similar monthly school pocket money schemes (Note that applicants under the MOE FAS are eligible);

g)    Has not been a STSPMF beneficiary for more than 24 months for the whole schooling years of primary and secondary education or more than 48 months for the schooling years of post-secondary education.

Successful applicants will receive $95 monthly for 2020.

CDI Advancement Award 2020

The Cornerstone Development Initiatives (CDI) Advancement Award 2020 will open for application from 4 Nov to 30 Nov 2019, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

a)    Household gross income below $800 per capita;

b)    Student must achieve an improvement of at least 3% in their academic results - average of 5 best subjects (including English and Mathematics) at 2019 final-year/prelim results improve from 2019 mid-year exam results of these 5 subjects by at least 3%;

c)     Is not recipient of CDI school allowance.

Successful applicants will receive $200 at a compulsory award presentation ceremony in Jan/Feb 2020.
